Classified applications are moving online
As part of the strategic plan to expedite the hiring process, classified job applications are moving online. Human Resources will launch edZapp, an online recruitment solution, within the next few months for all classified positions.
“It’s going to be a huge time-saver for both Human Resources and the applicant,” said Michal Fewx, personnel specialist. “It will also save paper and improve communications with job seekers.”
The new online system will allow applicants to apply for multiple job openings without filling out new forms for each listing. Users will also be able to track the status of jobs.
“We know that this is a big transition for everyone,” said Leith Robertson, administrative assistant in Human Resources. “We will be holding several training sessions to prepare everyone for the change.”
Classified district employees interested in learning the new online system should register for edZapp training through the Academy for Teaching and Learning. All other applicants, please call Nancy Sperling at 503-399-3061 to register.
