"Tools for School" supply drive now through Sept. 2
Local residents can help usher kids off to school equipped with the proper supplies by donating now through Sept. 2.
The Salem-Keizer Education Foundation (SKEF) and Salem-Keizer School District have teamed up for "Tools for School," a school supply drive with drop-off sites throughout the area.
SKEF will receive the collection barrels in front of the foundation office during downtown Salem's First Wednesday on Sept. 2. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to donate new school supplies at one of the collection sites below.
Needed supplies include:
Spiral notebooks
Ball point pens
Blank CDs
Composition writers' notebooks
3-ring binder notebook paper
3-ring binders
Computer printer paper
Glue sticks
Scissors
Colored pencils
Markers
Coupons for printer cartridges
