In-District Transfers

Parents who live within the Salem-Keizer School District have the option of transferring their children to another school within the district if there is room at the transferring school.

  • To start the process, parents must fill out an In-District Transfer Form.
  • The completed form is returned to their resident school.
  • Once the resident school receives the form, it forwards it to the requested school who forwards it to the office of Secondary Education.
  • Once the process is started, it usually takes about a week to complete.
  • Parents are sent a copy of the transfer form for their records once it has been processed.

Please note: Transportation is not provided for students who are on an in-district transfer.
