Olympic silver medalist and McKay High School graduate Ryan Bailey visited Salem-Keizer on Friday, October 5, 2012. Bailey made stops at McKay and at Harritt Elementary School. Students had the opportunity to see Bailey's Olympic silver medal and to ask him questions.

As a student at McKay, Bailey won the 2007 Oregon State Championships 6A titles at 100 metres and 200 metres, and finished second in the 200 metres at the Nike Outdoor Championships and third in the 200 meters at the USATF Junior Championships.
