Harritt Elementary received over 200 new books donated by athletes from Willamette University who organized a book drive for the school. The books were presented to Harritt students at an assembly held on Friday, January 27, 2012.

Harritt kicked off their literacy month last Friday. The school is holding many activities to encourage family literacy, including reading incentives, a book fair, a family reading night, and community readers.
