Salem-Keizer Public Schools serve nutritious meals that meet standards set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The cost for full price meals is as follows:
Breakfast
- Elementary School $.90
- Middle/High School $1.05
Lunch
- Elementary School $1.75
- Middle/High School $2.20
Your child may qualify for free or reduced price meals if:
- Your household receives Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or benefits from the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), OR:
- Your household income is at or below the amount on the Income Chart.

Download and fill out an application and return it to your school or send to: Food and Nutrition Services, 3625 Fairview Industrial Dr. SE, Salem OR, 97302.

Note: If you received a Notice of Eligibility letter from Adult and Family Services, give that notice to the school. You do not need to complete a meal application. The information on your application is used only to determine whether or not your child is eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Student's name and eligibility status can be released to other Federal child nutrition or education programs and State health and education programs. Any other information on your application can only be released with your written approval. You will be notified by mail if your application is approved or denied.

If you are not eligible now but have a change later -- such as a decrease in household income, an increase in household size, become unemployed or get Food Stamps, TANF or FDPIR benefits -- complete an application at that time.
