The Salem and Keizer community came together to recognize exceptional educators who go above and beyond the call of duty to educate children. At a special ceremony last night,  the Crystal Apple Awards were presented by the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation in collaboration with our school district, and the Salem and Keizer Chambers of Commerce.

These honorees were nominated by their fellow community. Sixty-one area educators were nominated for the 2008 award, and the 12 were selected by a special committee.
