School Partners: Salem-Keizer Public Schools

Washington Mutual Bank branches have supported our schools in various ways over the past several years. Some branches supervise interns, participate in “mock interviews” and sit on committees with Ready to Learn Ready to Work, a program designed to help prepare Salem-Keizer students for success through work-based learning experiences. Other support comes in the way of grants, donations for events, sponsoring weekly “Bank Day” programs, educating our students about the importance of keeping a savings account, as well as classroom presentations on money, saving, and budgeting. In addition, the WaMoola for Schools program generates funds for designated schools from parent and community use of debit/credit cards.
