The Salem-Keizer Public Schools School Board appointed members to the newly formed Citizen Bond Oversight Committee at its April 14, 2009 meeting.

During the 2008 bond campaign, the School Board committed to the public that if the bond measure was approved, a citizen oversight committee would be formed to help assure bond projects are delivered on time and within the promised scope and budget.

The Citizen Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) is a subcommittee of the School Board.  Areas of focus include bond oversight and accountability, communications, and design related functions, such as school design, boundaries, and naming.

Two School Board members serve as liaisons to the committee –  Ron Jones and Chris Brantley.
