Salem-Keizer Public Schools has hired six architectural firms to work on new school construction, repairs and renovations, funded by the 2008 construction bond.
Soderstrom Architects, and Dull Olson Weekes, will design three new elementary schools and one new middle school.
Carlson Veit, Arbuckle Costic, Anderson Shirley, and Paul Bentley will work on repairs and renovations at 48 existing schools.
Voters approved the $242.1 million construction bond in November 2008. Work on some projects will begin this summer.
