Inside24J Special Edition Email Migration Info

District email unavailable Feb 17 at 4 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Feb 21

The GroupWise email system will shut down at 4 p.m. today. GroupWise is being replaced with Microsoft Outlook.

Outlook will be live by 4 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21. There will not be any email or calendar services during this downtime. This includes email and calendar services for smart phones, other mobile devices and GroupWise Web access.

Required actions

  • Send or save any work in progress emails or appointments you are currently preparing prior to 4 p.m. today. Any emails or appointments you are preparing, but do not send or save prior to 4 p.m. will be lost.
  • Close all applications and log off at the end of your work day, today. Computers will be rebooted over the weekend and on Monday night to complete modifications to workstation email settings.

During the downtime between GroupWise going offline and Outlook coming online, all incoming items will be held until the new system is available. These items will not be lost, and will be available in Outlook once it comes online.
