Christy Perry is the Superintendent of Salem-Keizer Public Schools.
Superintendent Perry has extensive experience in K-12 education and has a passionate belief in our system of public education in Oregon and is an advocate for the achievement of all students. Prior to coming to Salem-Keizer she spent nine years as the Superintendent in the Dallas School District. She also served as a director of Human Resources, elementary school principal, university instructor, and was a 5th and 6th grade teacher.
Superintendent Perry attended college at Oregon universities. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from Western Oregon University and her administrative license from Portland State University.
She is a native Oregonian, raised in the coastal community of Reedsport. She has a background in small business as her husband and his family have always been small business owners. She understands the world of public education and the world of the small business owner.
Community partnerships are important to Superintendent Perry. She has served on a variety of boards, and strives to have collaborative partnerships with law enforcement, local governmental agencies, the faith community, and area businesses and nonprofits. She is a member of Rotary.
